While looking into alternative solar heating methods, I've come across a lot of DIY collectors. Some have been successful, but others not.
Randy from Fredericton N.B., Canada has been saving money on heating fuel this winter.
This method works quite well...Soda can solar collector on YouTube.
Basically the cans have a hole drilled in the bottom, they're painted black, covered with plexy or glass, and they pump cold air out of the house, heat it, and pump it back into the house.
Here's another, how about roofing tiles heating your home? We all know how hot the roof can get.
And these systems can be added to some really attractive architecture .
This is one hard workin', snack satisfyin' machine!
